Look Inside

 
 
If we could look into the hearts
of everyone we know;
we’d see the inner person
and our love for them would grow.
 
We’d know each trial they have faced.
Each burden they have bore.
Yes, with just one look inside
we’d love them so much more.
 
It’ easy to judge others
from impressions they impart,
but we can’t really know them
‘till we know what’s in their heart.
 
Our spirit dwells inside our heart,
and that’s where love resides.
If we’re to find ones goodness
we must seek it when it hides.
 
Let’s leave all judging to our God
and pray for empathy.
There’s good in all His children.
Look inside and you will see.
