The Wedding Ring

I placed a ring upon your finger
and you placed one on mine.
The meaning of the wedding ring
Is easy to define.

It’s the symbol of our love;
ever present, ever true.
A promise of commitment.
You to me and me to you.

The tradition of this little band
is for the world to see,
that I belong to only you
and you to only me.

It means I give my heart to you.
My all, my everything.
It’s a promise of forever love
sealed with a wedding ring.
