Heartfelt Poetry to Comfort, Inspire, and Touch Hearts
Written to comfort the grieving, uplift the weary, celebrate love, and family, honor country, and strengthen Christian faith.
Meet Ron Tranmer
I was born in Jerome, Idaho in 1940, the oldest of seven children, and have been “married to an angel” for 64 years. Together we’ve raised four children, welcomed thirteen grandchildren, and now enjoy many great-grandchildren.
My love for poetry began at age eight, when a poem for the prettiest girl in my class earned a smile and sparked a lifelong passion. Since then, I’ve written and copyrighted more than 400 poems inspired by love, loss, faith, family, and life’s defining moments. Some of my work has been licensed and appears on plaques, keepsakes, and memorials, and I’ve published three books of poetry, with a fourth in progress.
Through rhyme, I hope to remind readers of the enduring importance of God, family, friendship, country, compassion, humor, and love. My poems may be shared for personal, non-profit use with proper credit; commercial use requires permission. Above all, I’m grateful when my words bring comfort, reflection, or hope to others.

Toc-Tick
Life’s clock has made me old and grey,
so I took it apart today.
Reversed the balance wheel and gears
that tic away the days and years.
I worked away and pretty quick
the clock began to say,” toc tic.”
Instead of old, I’d now grow young
and I was proud of what I’d done.
Then all at once it came to me…
Time gives us friends and family,
And when reversed, those I hold dear,
one by one will disappear.
In haste I grabbed my clock, and then
made it go “tic toc”again.
My heart was glad because it knew
My greatest joy is all of you.
So, as I live each year of gold
I will treasure growing old.
For through life’s clock
I’ve come to know;
The greater the love.
The older we grow
