Would I?

Had I lived upon the on earth

when Jesus lived here too,

Would I have heard His teachings

and known that they were true?

As multitudes turned away

believing Him a fraud;

Would I have stood and testified

He is the Son of God?

Would I have had the courage

to hasten to His side,

as He struggled with the cross

whereon he bled and died?

The answer this question

one really cannot say,

but very likely can be found

in how we live today.
