A Nation Under God

Give me your tired , your poor…
and all yearning to be free.
I’ll break oppression’s shackles,
and those of tyranny.

I am liberty and justice.
I am freedom’s iron rod.
I’m a nation indivisible
A nation under God.

A nation that should honor
the name of God our King,
for without His love and guidance
freedom’s bell will cease to ring.

Yet, there are those among us,
it is very sad to say,
who would use His gift of freedom
to take His name away.

Open up their eyes, dear God
that they may clearly see,
they bite the hand that feeds them
and allows us to be free.
