Bedside

 

I think now I’m ready to go.

I feel the time is right.

My spirit is slowly slipping away.

I may not last the night.

 

I’ve lived my life and done my best

to honor God above.

I’ve raised a family as best I could.

We’ve shared tremendous love.

 

I feel their presence around my bed,

and tears upon my cheek.

I wish I could express my love,

but I am just too weak.

 

Thank you all for loving me.

You know I love you too.

Stay close to Heavenly Father

and He will comfort you.

 

I see a warm and glowing light

and am drawn to follow there.

I feel a happy peaceful calm

and love from everywhere.

 

Hold me now once more on earth.

as your tears fall on my face,

and then I’ll slip away in peace,

Into God’s love and grace.
