He Took My Little Hand

God gently called my name

as He took my little hand.

He knew hearts would be broken,

but He hoped you’d understand.

For when He takes a child home

He chooses each with care.

He needs the best of children,

to be special angels there.

We watch over our dear family

from Heaven up above.

That’s why you, left behind,

still feel our tender love.

My love is all around you

Allow your hearts to mend.

In time He’ll softly call your name

and we’ll be together again.
