His Hands calmed the waters.
Healed the sick and raised the dead.
His Hands fed thousands with two fish
and five small loaves of bread.
His Hands cast out devils
and caused the blind to see.
His Hands saved faithless Peter
from the sea of Galilee.
His Hands were clasped in prayer,
…there at Gethsemane,
as He prayed, “Father, be Thy will,
remove this cup from me.”
His Hands were placed upon a cross
and nails were driven through.
He said, “Forgive them Father,
for they know not what they do”.
Oh, dear God in heaven,
how can one repay
so great a sacrifice of love
our Savior gave that day?
When my spirit leaves this body,
and my soul returns to Thee;
May the Hands of my dear Savior
reach through the veil for me.
